“Together we are Lifelong Learners”

At Bright Blooms, children learn through play in calm, light-filled rooms, with educators who know them well. We believe children thrive when they feel safe, rested and well fed, so everything we do starts with three simple ideas: eat well, rest well and play well.

We are a long day care centre (daycare) on the Royal North Shore Hospital campus at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, within walking distance of St Leonards station and a short drive from Chatswood, Lane Cove, Crows Nest, Artarmon, Naremburn, Wollstonecraft, Greenwich and North Sydney.

Preschool

A Strong Start at School

Our two preschool rooms prepare children for a confident start at school. In Kielo, our Senior Preschool for four to five year olds, an early childhood teacher leads the program.

  • Early literacy and numeracy through stories, songs, counting, conversation and projects that grow from children’s own questions.
  • Confidence, independence and friendships, built across the Senior Preschool year, with Lotus, our Junior Preschool, preparing children for the move too.
  • A planned move to school: we talk with you about your child’s school and prepare a NSW Transition to School Statement (with your consent) for their Kindergarten teacher.
  • See the progress: learning stories, observations and progress reports in OWNA show what your child is learning and what comes next.

Our Rooms

A Day at Bright Blooms

Our day follows a gentle rhythm rather than a strict timetable, so it can bend to children’s needs, energy and the weather. It begins with outdoor play as children arrive, moves through morning tea, group learning, lunch and rest, and ends with a late snack and stories as families arrive.
